Those who got an invitation must have relevant express entry profiles and must have a CRS score of 406.
Express Entry is the fastest track to gain entry into Canada and become a permanent resident there. There are basically 3 economic immigration streams under this program such as:
- Federal Skilled Workers Program
- Federal Skilled Trades Program
- Canadian Experience Class
Candidates need to become eligible under any of the above economic immigration streams of express entry in order to enter the express entry pool. The profile of the candidate is evaluated on the basis of certain parameters such as age, work experience, language proficiency, and level of education, adaptability and arranged employment.
The candidates who have got an invitation in the latest Alberta express entry draw are awarded with 600 additional points that will further help you get an invitation from the IRCC to apply for Canada’s permanent residence. Also, the candidates who received an invitation in the latest draw need to have valid years of work experience in an eligible occupation that further supports the economic growth and development of Alberta.
The province of Alberta was allowed to issue 6,250 nomination certificates for the year 2020, however, due to the global pandemic, the province planned to issue only 4,000 nomination certificates. These 4,000 invitations were issued till June 2020 and that’s the reason why there were no draws since June, 2020. Also, the nomination certificates that the province of Alberta will issue to the candidates has not been disclosed by the province yet.
