In the recent BC PNP draw held on October 5, 2021, the province of British Columbia issued 108 invitations to the candidates belonging to the Skilled Worker, International Graduates, Entry Level and Semi - Skilled category for the British Columbia immigration streams of Skills Immigration and the Express Entry BC.

This draw is conducted to invite the highest scoring registrants in each category with superior skills and expertise and international graduates who can contribute to sustain the economy of the British Columbia province.

About the BC PNP Tech program

The BC PNP Tech was launched in May 2017 as a pilot project following a labour market study that found the biggest issue facing B.C technology sector was access to talent. More specifically, the BC PNP Tech is a fast-track immigration pathway for in-demand tech workers and international students.

Requirements of BC PNP tech draw

Candidates invited through B.C Tech draws must meet the requirements of one of British Columbias Express Entry BC and Skills immigration categories, which are managed by the Skills and Immigration Registration System (SIRS).

The Skills Immigration stream in the BC PNP needed a minimum provincial score of 70 and they are targeting the skilled workers residing overseas and willing to settle in the maple land. The desired workers can apply on the SIRS (Skills Immigration Registration System) to enter in the express entry pool. The job tenure must be for a minimum of one year, with at least 120 days remaining at the time of application to the BC PNP. This tech invitation is the full-time job.

Express Entry BC is another stream aligned with the Express Entry Canadato select the candidates out from the pool by providing an additional 600 points to the invited candidate. Invited candidates are then required to apply for the permanent residency in Canada on Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
