What Are The Benefits Of Subclass 101 ?

After meeting the following requirements, the child is entitled to receive certain benefits:

1  A sponsor must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or an eligible New Zealand citizen

2  Child must be outside Australia when applying for subclass 101

3  Child is one of the following:

• Younger than 18 years of age and not adopted
• If adopted, must be younger than 18 years of age (when adopted)
• A full-time student between 18 and 25 years of age, or
• 18 or older and unable to work due to a disability and dependent on the sponsoring parent
• Should meet character and health requirements

After meeting the above mentioned requirements, subclass 101 provided some good benefits.

Subclass 101 is a permanent visa which allows the child to avail the following benefits:

• The child can travel to and stay in Australia for indefinite period of time
• Can work and study anywhere in Australia
• Can avail health related benefits like enrolling into Medicare schemes
• If eligible, can apply for the Australian citizenship
• Sponsor eligible relatives for Australia permanent residency
• Can travel to and from Australia for up to 5 years, till the time visa is granted
